The Idea

More with less.

The most memorable spaces are often those that achieve more with less. Rather than relying on scale or excess, they focus on what truly matters: light, proportion, materiality and atmosphere.

The Modules were conceived as a collection of intimate architectural retreats within the Nebulae ecosystem. Designed with clarity and restraint, each space explores how simplicity can create a deeper, more meaningful experience of hospitality.

Rather than emphasizing size, the project prioritizes precision — every surface, opening and detail carefully considered to feel calm, intentional and connected to its surroundings.

Architecture reduced to its purest expression.

One Language · Two Atmospheres

By day, clarity and light.

In daylight, the Modules reveal their quiet geometry. Concrete and warm wood meet glass that opens onto the gardens, dissolving the line between inside and out. Light moves across each surface through the hours, until the architecture seems to belong to the landscape around it.

By night, warmth and stillness.

After dark, the Modules glow from within. Concealed, integrated lighting warms the concrete and wood, and the surrounding trees fade into shadow until the retreat feels suspended in the highlands.

Gathered around the fire beneath the stars, the experience turns intimate, private and profoundly calm.

A Space to Be Felt

Simplicity, experienced.

Geometry, texture and light work together to create a sense of balance and stillness — an atmosphere that feels private, restorative and quietly sophisticated.

An Experience, Not Simply a Room

Five reasons it stays with you.

Less, but Better

Restraint as luxury — nothing superfluous, every element considered. Here, simplicity becomes sophistication.

Light & Proportion

Carefully placed openings frame the sky and the gardens, letting natural light shape the space through the day.

Materiality

Honest materials — exposed concrete and warm wood — composed for texture, calm and a sense of permanence.

Stillness & Privacy

Independent, intimate retreats immersed in nature, designed for rest, reflection and presence.

Part of Nebulae

A more intimate way to experience the wider Nebulae ecosystem of architecture, art and hospitality.

Ideal for couples, creatives, solo retreats and slow escapes meant to be remembered.
The Space

Intimate by design.

Each Module is a self-contained retreat — compact yet complete, where every opening, surface and detail has a purpose. Concrete and warm wood, floor-to-ceiling glass and a private deck keep shelter and openness in continuous dialogue with the gardens.

Within the Nebulae Universe

The Modules offer a more intimate way to experience Nebulae — a multicultural center for architecture, sound art, yoga and hospitality in the hills of Heredia. Independent yet connected, they sit within a wider landscape of design, nature and gathering, including the Nebulae Rabbit Ecosystem, where architecture and animal care meet — one of the property’s newest attractions.
